New Life Church History

A group of friends met to worship together in a house in Blaenffos in 1990. This became New Life Community Church, which evenually moved out into a rented hall in Crymych. In 1999 Doug & Janice Bell took on the leadership and moved the church from Crymych to Cardigan and the name was changed to New Life Church Cardigan.

They believed that the Lord was going to give them a home and He did just that. In July 2000 the churched moved into their present location – New Life Christian Centre on Quay Street and within twelve months the property was paid for.

The mandate for the church was to worship, pray and seek the Lord, before doing anything else. It is something the church still does today. After three years they believed it was time to start moving out into the community and had a prophetic word from a known prophet to confirm this.

In 2004 New Life Community Projects was registered to work in the community through furniture removals, collections, sales, restorations and provision. A property was purchased in 2005 and this work is growing and opening up avenues into helping and working with the community, also creating much needed employment & training.

In 2006 the church started a Christian School for children bwtween the ages of 3 and 18. This is in the process of being registered and will provide a Chritian Foundation for Education, teaching christian values through the knowlede and love of God.

The Centre is also open seven days a week to provide a place of help and refuge.
